Acting

My Dad was in the Navy for 38 years and my family moved all over the world so this background was perfect for becoming an actor.  I was born in Newport, RI and in the Naval Housing, there were people of all nationalities and races so I was blessed to see a lot of diversity.  In moving to upstate NY when I was in the 2nd grade, it was a much less diverse area so subconsciously I studied people and used acting skills to fit in and make friends.  One friend and I would record our own cassette tapes in which we would portray different characters such as military men or super heroes so these were my first acting experiences.  In high school, I played in the orchestra for theater shows and I also worked as a doorman in a movie theater which provided ample time to watch and research.

My first professional acting jobs once living in NYC involved working as an under 5 (under 5 lines) and background actor in the soap operas All My Children and Guiding Light.  It was so amazing to see the work and long hours that the actors, directors, script supervisors, wardrobe department and the crew would put in daily.  Since then I have had the opportunity to work on various shows from Blue Bloods and Law & Order – SVU to Orange is the New Black and the movie, Get Out.  I love bringing characters to life and working with other actors in a team is so amazing.  I look forward to the future for sure!

…empty your mind. Be formless, shapeless, like water. Now you put water into a cup, it becomes the cup. You put water into a bottle, it becomes the bottle. You put water into a teapot it becomes the teapot. Now water can flow, or it can crash. Be water my friend.
